For Otakon 2004, a couple of friends and I decided we'd cosplay as Rakka, Hikari, and Nemu from Haibane Renmei. I had the hair for Nemu, and she's one of the older Haibane, so it fit (plus, I really like to sleep.) There isn't much to this cosplay besides the halo and the wings. The shirt has been altered with buttons in the back so the wings would fit through, but the skirt is a Goodwill find. The halo is a florist's ring painted with several layers of gold craft paint. The headband was taken off an angel halo Halloween prop and painted to match my hair. The wings are quite cheap, but I tried to make them look better by sprucing them up with craft feathers. Didn't get a chance to make Nemu's library arm band, unfortunately. |
